The Little Mountain Chalet is a traditional alpine chalet located on the hillside in Morzine. We're located on Route D'Avoriaz, with beautiful views across Morzine and a 20 minute downhill walk into town.
The living space is on the first floor of the chalet and has 5 good sized bedrooms, a large living dining space with views across town to the ski slopes opposite, open log fire and terrace with hot tub with views of the weekly fireworks- perfect for post ski!
The chalet is a large property with more than enough room for 2 or 3 families or groups of friends. The middle floor features a master bedroom with king bed, ensuite bathroom and private balcony with views across the valley to the Pleney ski slopes. There's a good sized additional double and a bunk room- perfect for kids on this level.
Upstairs on the mezzanine level there are 2 large rooms- one can be set up as a triple with 3 single beds or a king and a single and the other as a double. We can squeeze in a single on a camp bed or there's the perfect space for a toddler bed in this room. There's also a double sofa bed on the mezzanine for any extra guests- so long as they don't mind the lack of privacy.
The living and dining space is large, with big windows to showcase the special feature of the property- the view over the town of Morzine and the Pleney ski slopes.
The view is undoubtedly the best in Morzine! The wraparound balcony is accessed from the living room, dining room and kitchen and leads onto the large deck with hot tub, ideally placed for you to relax and enjoy the view! All rooms are a great size which makes this the ideal property for 2 or even 3 families to enjoy together or perhaps groups of friends enjoying some ski time.
Each week the tourist office hosts a torchlit ski descent down the home run of the Pleney slopes, followed by fireworks- from the comfort of the chalet and sitting by the open log fire you will be able to enjoy this magnificent spectacle with a glass of wine in hand! There's a large mezzanine stocked with books, games and dvd's as well as a Wii console- perfect to keep the kids amused upstairs whilst the adults chill out downstairs.
There is a large well equipped kitchen in which to cook but there are an abundance of restaurants and bars in Morzine so the decision to eat in or out is yours. If you fancy having a chef come to the chalet to cater for you one night, there are a few companies in Morzine who can do this for you- we can recommend our favourites! We can also advise on a nanny service, transfers, ski hire and lessons. There is an honesty bar with some of our favourite tipples and we also provide a welcome pack with some treats as well as our recommendations.
On the communal ground floor we've a new boot room with ski rack and boot warmers and also a brand new treatment room. Carrie runs a massage and beauty company and is available for treatments daytime and evenings. The house is our home and we want you to feel as comfortable and happy on your holiday in the chalet as we do, so please ask if you have any specific queries or concerns. We're baby friendly and have high chairs and travel cots and a selection of toys and we'll also accept well behaved pets- we know how important it is to be able to bring your whole family away with you!
