Araluen Boutique Accommodation is located in the picturesque Steels Creek Valley, 7km north from Yarra Glen township. A very quiet and peaceful location where you will be woken by the Kookaburras or the beautiful array of birds chirping.
Accommodation consists of a total of seven rooms - three villas and four lodge rooms. The whole property can be hired out for groups and wedding accommodation or individual villas for couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful and romantic getaway.
Our two Hillside Spa Villas are located on the higher side of the property. Each villa has glass bi-fold doors across the front of the building that opens up to a deck with seating and beautiful views of the Valley. Each villa is open plan internally with a kitchenette, dining area, lounge, master bedroom and separate ensuite. Both villas are standalone, private and self-contained with all the comforts of home. The bedroom has a king-sized bed with luxury linen and pillows and an electric blanket for the colder months. Villa amenities include a fully equipped kitchenette with gas cook-top and range-hood, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, bar size fridge, split system heating and air conditioning, gas fireplace, large flat-screen smart television, complimentary Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speak, iron and ironing board and lots more. Each villa also has a kettle BBQ for additional cooking.
All villa ensuites have a double spa, separate walk-in shower, heated flooring and towel rails, beautiful ASPAR toiletries, hairdryer, Sheridan towels and fluffy bathrobes.
Continental breakfast is supplied in the room on arrival so that it can be enjoyed at each guest’s leisure. Breakfast consists of two types of cereal, yoghurt, fruit tubs, bread, condiments (Vegemite, peanut butter, honey, jams and butter), juice and bottled water. Teabags, hot chocolate and coffee pods are also supplied. You are welcome to supply ingredients to have your own cooked breakfast – villas only.
The property also offers ample convenient car parking, and an outdoor solar heated (seasonal) swimming pool with pool towels provided. The area also offers lounge chairs and seating, dining tables and chairs, an alfresco deck with a pizza oven and Weber Q BBQ for guests to use.
We do not have a restaurant on site, but we have a number of fabulous restaurants close by or a few takeaway options in Yarra Glen with some also offering delivery service to the property.
The property is set on 3 acres of land with landscaped gardens, hobby vines, a picturesque dam with a jetty and a selection of fruit trees for guest picking.
Araluen is centrally located just minutes away from some of the best wineries and attractions in the Yarra Valley. To name a few; Yarra Valley Chocolatier, Yarra Valley Dairy, DeBortoli Winery, Yileena Park Winery, Acacia Ridge Winery, Fergusson Winery, Mandala, Zonzo, Yarrawood Estate, Yering Station, Immerse, Steels Gate, Napoleon Cider & Brewery, Meletos, Stones of the Yarra Valley, Coombe Estate, St Huberts Winery Punt Road Winery.
The wineries on Maroondah Highway are approximately 15 minutes by car, along with Healesville township approximately 20 minutes by car where you will find Healesville Sanctuary, Giant Steps, Innocent Bystanders, Herd Bar & Grill, Beechworth Bakery, Monroe’s Burgers, the award-winning Healesville Hotel, Alchemy Distillers, Four Pillars Distillery, shops, restaurants, supermarket and lots more.
Once you have exhausted the Yarra Valley you can then use Araluen as a base to explore our neighbouring region, the Dandenong Ranges or we are along with the gateway to Victoria's Mt Buller snowfield or 1-hour drive to Lake Mountain.
